What does OrbitMI do?
OrbitMI is a maritime intelligence platform: AI-native maritime software for voyage decisions and commercial voyage operations, bringing together data collection (incl. noon reports), emissions compliance, fleet monitoring and performance, and voyage optimization on one platform. It is built for collaboration between you, AI agents and our meteorologists and maritime experts, and to adapt to your needs and your own workflow. It connects to the systems your team already uses, bringing together the information you need to stay in control of voyages. You always remain in charge but are assisted by AI agents that validate data before it reaches you, alert to issues you should look into and recommend actions.
Who uses OrbitMI?
Shipowners, operators and charterers use OrbitMI. It is built for operations managers, but is being used by everyone from the commercial desk, operations, performance and compliance teams ashore to the crews who file vessel reports. Customers include Crowley, Furetank, Ifchor Galbraiths, Torvald Klaveness, Stena Bulk and Western Bulk.
What systems does OrbitMI integrate with?
OrbitMI connects to the systems a fleet already runs through open APIs. Integrations include Veson IMOS (through Veslink) and Dataloy for voyage management; five class societies and verifiers – DNV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s Register, ClassNK and RINA; ABB, Theyr, Toqua and We4Sea for vessel performance; and data from Lloyd’s List Intelligence, Spire, C-MAP, Mapbox, Oil Price API, Maritime IntelX and Inchcape.
Is OrbitMI SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified?
Yes. OrbitMI holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification, and Reporter is built on DNV’s OVD (Open Vessel Data) standard, so vessel data follows an industry schema rather than a proprietary one.
