Meet Brooke Tantillo
Welcome to the first part of our running blog series on members of the OrbitMI team. The first team member we'd like to spotlight is Brooke Tantillo.
Brooke is one of our newest team members- having joined as an intern in November, she is now a full time Account Manager, serving as the front line of client interaction while also aiding in sales and marketing. Brooke comes to OrbitMI through the oil and gas industry, having worked as a fluids engineer on drilling rigs and as a wireline engineer on the completions side, specializing in drilling and perforation. Given that this is the first time she's worked in an office, moving to maritime has been a significant change for her,
though there are some similarities- as was true in the oil industry, Brooke is a woman in an overwhelmingly male dominated field.
Brooke graduated from James Madison University in 2012 with a degree in Geology. While at school she played competitive table tennis, which necessitated both teamwork and individual success- a reality that she finds parallels her work at OrbitMI. After working at a brewery, which deepened her appreciation for good beer, Brooke earned a certificate in Data Analytics from University of Richmond before joining us in November 2020. On the topic of working at OrbitMI, Brooke says "I really love the people I work with. Everyone believes in this product. It makes me want to do better every day."
